We spent two quiet and pleasant months in Montenegro in autumn 2024. Our base was the city of Bar: we joked that I’d always wanted to live in a bar! On weekends, we rented a car and set off to explore the country, visiting almost all the coastal cities and even venturing into the deep and high Montenegro, including Durmitor National Park and Tara Canyon.
